Serving Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Indianapolis.
After a 22 year broadcasting career, Kevin joined Dale Carnegie of Ohio in September of 2004. He is currently certified to instruct the 12-week Dale Carnegie Course, High-Impact Presentations, and Leadership Training for Managers, Sales Advantage and most of the seminars and workshops offered by Dale Carnegie Training. In addition to instructing public courses, Kevin recently completed in-house projects with Progressive Insurance (Cleveland) and Degussa (Cincinnati). The Progressive class was an eight-week customized program for 32 mid-level managers, while Degussa involved 14 key players from various departments who received intense coaching to enhance their presentation skills.
Kevin also works with a handful of Cleveland-area companies as a training consultant, helping place their employees into the appropriate programs, and develop customized in-house curriculum. Among these companies are Fifth Third Bank, Playhouse Square Foundation, Comcast, and Penske Truck Leasing.
Kevin chose Dale Carnegie as a new career path after taking his first course in 2002 and “taking my life to places I never thought were possible!”
“Dale Carnegie builds confidence in people they often didn’t know they had. This lets them accomplish things in their personal and professional life they never thought possible. The Dale Carnegie Courses are among the best investments anyone can make in themselves or their employees. The material is practical and applicable for anyone at any age in any vocation,” says Watts.
During his 22 years in broadcasting, Kevin worked first as a radio sports play-by-play announcer at night and on the weekends (high school and college football, basketball and baseball), while honing his sales skills during the day. His first sales management position came just 4 years into his career, and he worked as sales manager at WDOK Radio in Cleveland from 1991 to 2004, receiving a nomination for national radio “sales manager of the year” in 1999. Kevin spent two years (1989-1991) selling radio advertising for Cleveland Indians Baseball and Cleveland Browns Football on WWWE radio (now known as WTAM, 1100 AM).
Kevin and wife Lisa have been married for 24 years, and have two sons – Bryan, 21 and Eric, 17. They have called Westlake home for the past 13 years.
